Do you think Ron Paul can win the republican convention?
He has way less delegates than McCain, but McCain only has 596 secured. Do you think the rest are bound to vote for Ron Paul, since his supporters have been sweeping state conventions recently, for example Missouri, Oregon, and Nevada? Thanks in return.

I wish that would be great, that would make my day

You must be joking, time to move on and quit even imagining this scenario.

Ron Paul is hot on the Internet. He’d make a great President….in the Matrix.

He has ZERO chance of winning the nomination.

Sadly, no.

Nope… don’t think so and I hate that old fart….

No.
Where does this 596 number come from? McCain has won 1380 delegates through primaries and cauci.
Why would anyone be bound to vote for Paul. Paul threw his dice and lost. Republican voters across the country comprehensively rejected him. He will not win.

He has tremendous opposition from the George Bush indoctrinated neo-con war mongers……and I imagine for a few months before the convention the horrors of war will be left off the news casts to make people put it on the back burner of their minds.
However if Ron Paul gets to speak, like he did in the Nevada state convention where he won over the committed George Romney delegates, he could sway enough delegate voters to force another round of voting.
If that happens,,,,yes,,,he does stand a very good chance of winning the Republican convention.
If the Republicans are smart they will vote for the candidate that sides with 70% of Americans who want the wars to stop, if they want any chance at winning the presidency.
Hint:
Obama is the Democratic front runner because of his anti-war stance……McCain won’t stand a chance against him in November,,,,,,but I think once the Ron Paul momentum starts building again this summer,,,,,he could beat Obama.
Just my opinions!

Come on! Ron Paul doesn’t have a prayer to win anything at the Republican convention. I have no love for Republicans but I don’t think that they are crazy and want to put this poor little guy in the White House. Obama would plaster him by a score of 90% to 1.

The GOP will make sure he dos’nt! It’s up to AMERICA to make sure he does!!!

I think info. will be revealed that McCain was not such a war hero after all & this will have him run away like Gulliani the so called 911 hero ran after it was exposed that he was walking the streets on 911 cause he was an idiot who put the commend center in the building that was attacked & he had no office to go to….My problem with Paul is I believe people will have abortions until we adress the issues about why they make this choice & do what needs to be done to prevent it. I do not want people going into hacking shops/back alleys I want them to have a safe alternative.

Most of Ron Paul’s supporters have not pledged , i know this for I am a delegate and i know whats going on .Sadly i didnt make it tot state for i am a first year delegate and was not informed an important step..i blame my self , by not researching it more , but i also blame the ones who got me to become a delegate to begin with ..i believe they dropped the ball .All my fellow delegates at the convention , would not show themselves so to speak , we kinda just nodded at each other .This convention , should prove to be exciteing , while most people voted for mccain , they left and didnt become delegates .
I would love to be there for the march and volunteer at the convention , but alas i cant afford it .
People said Ronald Reagan didnt have a chance either .. he did get more media coverage then Dr.Paul, but i guess no one has ever heard or has forgotten about REAGAN RAIDERS..btw Dr.Paul , was apart of helping in getting Reagan elected …I heard that convention , that emotions were so high, people were throwing chairs and punches .

After the way the party has treated him, I’m not sure they deserve to. But it would certainly be nice to see a few jaws drop.

It depends on what happens between here and September, in the final analysis. I don’t know, but it isn’t over until it is over, and meanwhile, spreading the message with the squeakiest clean record in Congress has its own value.
Try to be in DC on July 12.
Lynn B, going from Utah to Nevada for an abortion isn’t exactly the same as a hack shop. Ron Paul believes in state determination of this issue.

Sure hope so, otherwise democrats win in November.
