Ron Paul’s Views

Ron Paul has been given many labels throughout his career, including conservative, libertarian and Constitutionalist. He has very strong views about several important issues, and his ideals and principles are set in stone and unwavering at all times.

Ron Paul has always advocated a non-interventionist form of foreign policy. Ron Paul opposes amnesty and illegal immigration. Because Ron Paul is against foreign policy and the government in general, he highly favors withdrawing from the United Nations and NATO all together. Ron Paul has spoken against the current state of the Government, and wishes for the Government to have less control of the country. Ron Paul supports free trade, and has spoken against the Iraq War resolution many times. Ron Paul is also a strong advocate of lower taxes and government spending. Ron Paul has spoken about abolishing the federal income tax all together, and has promised several times throughout his 2008 United States presidential campaign that he will never raise taxes. On the other hand, Ron Paul believes that government spending can be reduced simply by sharply lowering the country’s taxes, and by abolishing worthless federal agencies that are not necessarily worth how much money is being poured into them every year.

Ron Paul has spoken against many issues in our country, including unbalanced budgets that he claims that he has never once approved. He is against the Government’s current level of control, and would like to abolish the Patriot Act, as well as the Federal Government’s control on the War on Drugs and gun control. Ron Paul is an advocate for overturning the verdict in Roe v. Wade as a result of his strong pro-life advocacy. Ron Paul advocates the state’s individual rights when it comes to making a determination as to whether abortion is legal or not. Ron Paul’s pro-life advocacy likely stems from his lengthy background as both a gynecologist and an obstetrician, as he has delivered more than 4,000 children in the past and has five children and seventeen grandchildren of his own.

Ron Paul has a lengthy record of making the right decisions and voting consistently. He has never voted for an unbalanced budget or to raise taxes. Ron Paul has never voted for gun ownership restriction by the Federal Government. He has never voted to raise the pay for Congressmen nor has he ever taken a Government-Paid Junket. He is strongly against regulating the Internet, continuing the war in Iraq, and the Patriot Act. Ron Paul firmly believes in reverting the United States government to what was intended by the forefathers of our Country. Ron Paul has been referred to as the Champion of the Constitution, and appears so far to be true to his word. With morals and principles as strong as these, what better candidate exists for the United States Presidency of 2008 than Ron Paul?
